Promotion
This
section concentrates on methods of promotion online
for your film. Usually the online promotion is the
area that is completely ignored by most filmmakers.
They either develop a poor site or have no site at
all.
The
importance of a domain name. If you have taken the
time to title your film so carefully, how could you
allow your film to have a "Geocities" address.
You should have an independent address of it's own
to help promote the film. It is only $30 for 2 years
(using the link at the top of the page), plus hosting
(at a special rate of $17.95 for filmmakers referred
from this site). You will note the links to Telcom.net
and to Domain Americas. They have joined to provide
this service.
Web
site design is essential. Because of the number of
artists in our industry, that is not usually a problem.
You should be able to find a quality person to design
your site for you. If you can not, we provide two
resources for you. First, ePagos has a tool that allows
you to quickly generate a web site using templates.
It also allows you to sell online, so that you can
sell your videos and merchandise. Building the "store"
is free and it is only $30 for hosting. We do not
get any referral fees for you making such a store.
We
also provide a link to Sitanium Designs. They are
a high quality firm when it comes to design and can
do anything from basic sites to full Flash implementations.
If you don't know what Flash is, you have to see it
to believe it. They also do database work, etc.
Building
a site is not enough. You have to promote that site.
To do so we bring you First In Search Engines (a division
of Sitanium Designs). They enhance your web site (even
one they did not develop) to be better viewed by the
search engines. They guarantee performance and do
an excellent job for very little money relative to
most other companies. Most importantly, they don't
just bring you users, they bring users who were actually
looking for you.
We
hope that you will use these resources and find success
because of them.
