Independent Film Actors

Actors in independent feature and short productions have many concerns that need to be addressed.

Over time we are hoping to revise this section to include many areas of interest for actors as they approach this marketplace.

A strong characteristic useful to independent film makers is the ability to improvise. Likewise, directors often go to improv groups to look for talent.

For this reason, we have created a page with information to what we consider to be the top sources of training and talent for independent film from the improv world. Click here to go to our improv page.

You can also see our Casting Message Board withing our Actors Message Board, though you should always be careful to verify the validity of any casting.

If you have your SAG (Screen Actors Guild) card or wish to hire carded actors, you have many other issues that you will have to address. For information regarding this, you should consult the SAG outreach program at www.sagindie.org.
